It is with mixed emotions that I announce that Manie Dreyer will be leaving Bowie Resource Partners, effective at the end of April this year. While clearly, Manie will be missed by us all, I am personally comforted by the fact that he will take the opportunity to spend more personal time with his family as his daughters prepare for their last year of high school and their matriculation to college.
While Manie has been CEO of BRP, we have achieved milestones in Safety and Risk Management with significant reductions in reportable injuries and best-in-class recognition for safety performance including the 2014 Sentinel Safety Award at Skyline. There is little question that Manie’s passion for safety was a contributing factor to these performance achievements.
We have also increased production, sales, have extended the reserve life of our operations and increased the term of key customer contracts. Again, Manie’s participation was certainly a contributing factor.
I want to thank Manie for his leadership and commitment to BRP over the past two years and I want to wish him and his family well for this next chapter of their lives.
I do not plan to fill his role in the near term. I have decided to stay on as Executive Chairman for the foreseeable future and will carry the responsibilities of Chief Executive in addition to my role as Chairman.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued contribution towards the success of our company. Of course, it starts with Safety and our value of Zero Harm. Without your dedication and commitment, our success would not be guaranteed. Let’s work toward making 2016 the best year to date.
